I've been suffering badly with the resless legs again so thought I would share with you some tips and tricks that I have found really useful in getting a good night's sleep.
1. Keep your legs as cool/cold as you can bear. So, don't wear pyjama bottoms or socks, don't have a hot bath before bed and try and keep your bedding to a minimum from the waist down.
2. Elevate the foot of your bed so that your feet are raised. You can do this by either placing a large thick book under your mattress at the foot of your bed or by putting a rolled up duvet or pillow under the sheet at the foot your bed.
3. Use a lotion such as Burt's Bees Peppermint Foot Lotion on your legs and feet at bedtime. It's awesome for keeping your legs cool and stimulating the circulation.
The two main things are: COOL LEGS and ELEVATED LEGS.
There are the other obvious things to do such as cutting out the caffeine and maybe taking iron supplements. But I find keeping my legs cool and elevated helps plenty!
